Since gaining global fame with U2 in the early 1980s, the 62-year-old born Paul Hewson in Dublin has never done things by halves.įor all his grandiosity, however, Bono’s memoir comes with relatable helpings of doubt and humility, across 40 essays linked thematically (but not chronologically) to different U2 song titles. That it’s undoubtedly the “event” of 2022’s musician autobiography crop is also as expected.
